Zeynep Demir Zeynep Demir (b. 1999, Batman), 24, is a Turkish director and screenwriter. She graduated from Batman University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema and Tv in 2023. She directed the short films Çocuk Oyuncağı (2022), Skin (2022), Emeğin Tadı (2022) and Salvador (2023). Zeynep Demir's new project Batman Folk Culture Documentary (2023) aims to introduce the rich folk culture of Batman, which was founded on Mesopotamian lands with a deep-rooted history of thousands of years and is today the prototype city of the Southeastern Anatolia Region with its population diversity, both nationally and internationally. The documentary stems from Zeynep Demir's love and curiosity for Batman, her hometown.
