Yeliz Shukri is an acclaimed Turkish film director, producer
and screenwriter. She has been active in the film industry since the early 1990s
and has since made a name for herself with her unique style of storytelling.
Shukri was born in Istanbul in 1975 and grew up in a traditional and
conservative family. She studied film at Istanbul University and graduated with
a degree in 1999. After graduation, she moved to Berlin and wrote screenplays
for several short films during her time there. In 2002, she returned to Turkey
and directed her first feature film, “The Beggar”. The film received critical
acclaim and was nominated for several awards. It also earned her the Best
Director Award at the Istanbul Film Festival. She went on to direct several

project is the feature film “The Book of Fate”, which is set to be released in
2020. The film follows a young girl who discovers a mysterious book that
contains secrets from her past. Shukri is known for her unique visual style and
her ability to create an atmosphere of tension and suspense. Her films often
explore themes such as identity, tradition, and the fragility of life. Shukri’s
work has been praised by critics for its boldness and originality. She continues
to be one of the most exciting voices in Turkish cinema and her work is highly
