senaristlerin, ışıkla karanlık arasında yaşayan rejisörlerin, dokunduğu
hayatlara ışık saçan yıldızların ve Beyoğlu’nun arka sokaklarında hayat bulan,
kimi zaman hüzünlendiğimiz, ağladığımız; kimi zaman sevindiğimiz, güldüğümüz
filmlerin adıdır Yeşilçam. Onlar çocukluğumuzun, gençliğimizin unutamadığımız
hatıralarımızın kırık bir parçası olarak yer edindiler hayatlarımızda. Bir de
Yeşilçam sinemasında isimlerini bilmediğimiz, yüzlerini hatırlayamadığımız hatta
onları hiç tanımadığımız kişiler vardır. Bizi o renkli düşlerle, yıldızlarla
buluşturan kişiler… Onlar düş şatolarında büyülü fenerin ışığıyla beyaz perdeyi
hareketlendiren sinemamızın gizli kahramanları, dört duvar arasında Türk
sinemasına yıllarını vermiş emektar film makinistleridir.
Yeşilçam is the name of passionate love, love, hopes, dreams, warm friendships,
unity and solidarity. we cry; Yeşilçam is the name of the movies that we
sometimes love and laugh…There are also people in Yeşilçam cinema whose names we
do not know, we cannot remember their faces or even we do not know about them…
People who meet us with those colorful dreams and stars. They are the secret
heroes of our cinema, which energize the big screen with the light of the magic
lantern in their dream castles; Among the four walls are veteran film mechanics
who have given their years to Turkish cinema. They were storytellers of Turkish
movie theaters. But now neither the light of that magic lantern is left, nor the
machinists who are the keepers of that magic lantern… Being a mechanic in the
cinema is a heavy and difficult job, you dedicate your life to movies in those
small machine rooms. Many veterans of Yeşilçam cinema spent their lives by
guarding the magic lantern that they could not leave in those small machine
rooms. The magical lantern keepers”, the only figure of both the cruise and the
salon culture, were the most important people of the art of cinema from 1895
until today. They were the storytellers of the movie theaters that can
communicate with machines, movies and audiences, and make them feel the
consciousness of watching The leaf casting in Yeşilçam cinema, which started
with the separation of movie artists one by one, continued with the films and
families withdrawing from the halls. Then individual historical cinemas were
closed. Those big cinemas opening to the streets of the neighborhoods were
replaced by shopping malls divided into small pieces. The biggest change
happened in the cinema itself. A century of history of cinema art, films and
machines of 35 millimeters have become digital and become history. With the
digital technology, when the projection machines became digital, the 35
millimeter filmmaking profession disappeared completely, and craftsmanship and
craftsmanship were replaced by automation and simplicity. The works of the
veteran machinists have been terminated ... The fairy tale-tellers of that
magical lantern, who devoted their years to the cinema, had to leave their dream
castles one by one, strangely, lostly and sadly. They, the “magic lantern
keepers” are at their corners, with their memories reflected from the mirror,
their memories and their love of cinema, like tired warriors… And unfortunately,
most of these movie guys who shed light on our cinema history have alreadyleft
us…
