Büyümenin ve amansız futbol tutkusun bir garip mücadelesi… Bekir, çevresinden ve
yaşıtlarından kendini soyutlamış genç bir liselidir. Talihsiz anında karşısına
çıkan bir yazar, karmaşık olaylar zincirinin başlangıcı olacaktır. Elbette
hepimiz bir noktadan sonra yetişkinliğe adım atarız. Ama içimizde bu futbol
mümkün müdür tamamen büyüyebilmek?
A dark poem of growing up and everlasting passion for football. Bekir is a
teenager who has isolated himself from his surroundings and peers. A writer who
crosses his path in an unfortunate moment will be the beginning of a chain of
mysterious events. Of course, we all take steps into adulthood at some point.
But is it possible to fully grow up while having this passion for football
inside us?
Director Statement
In high school, we used to say, "Oh, if only I could reach those ages; no
worries about school or exams. If I had a job, a home, and a clear future." “And
He Scores!" actually summarizes how dangerous and futile that wish can be.
Bekir’s wavering between adulthood and childhood embodies intentions and actions
that never fully come to conclusion. On one side, there is soccer; on the other,
books, theft, and the unsettling events and characters. Bekir thinks he's mature,
but every attempt he makes ends up in failure. In moments of shame, his innocent
soul manifests as a childhood figure, a football player roaming around. Until
the very last moment, Bekir turns a blind eye. A cheap and unhappy writer, and
even more dangerous, decisive and life-taking divine perspective, shouting how
meaningless the future he had imagined is, while suddenly, a goal from the world
of childhood saves Bekir from this world, the world of adults. "Score" is a
tough and distinct. A new perspecitve to the coming of age genre.
