Since time immemorial, a mother whose heart beats in the kitchen... As the
weight of the years settles on her shoulders, the steam from the pots, the
rhythm of the spoon, and the scent of dried beans no longer call to her with
their former strength. The wooden spoon she once wielded with skill now silently
searches for a new owner between her trembling fingers.
In simple but profound moments spent together, the mingling aromas of food under
the warm kitchen light are accompanied by sadness and acceptance. As the mother
watches her son's efforts in the kitchen, she bids farewell to the past and
silently gives her blessing to the future. Her son, meanwhile, feels the bond
between them strengthen in a new way as he carries on the tradition his mother
has upheld for years with his own hands for the first time.
"MOTHER – Dried Beans" delicately explores the grace of letting go, the warmth
of family, and the power of invisible bonds passed down from generation to
generation in this small yet universal story shaped around an everyday table.
