Babasının ani ölüm haberini alan Metin, uzun yıllar sonra memleketine döner .
Cesedin bulunduğu evde, olay yeri incelemesi sırasında savcı, doktor, jandarma
ve katip, sessizlik içinde soruşturmayı yürütürler. Soruşturma devam ederken,
Metin çocukluğunun geçtiği köye doğru yola çıkar. Metin babasının evine gelir,
çocukluk arkadaşı Orhan ve köy ahalisi evin avlusundadır. Metin, Orhan'la
birlikte bir göl kenarına giderler, geçmişte yaşadıkların ve içindeki öfkeyi
dile getirir. Orhan, onu anlamaya çalışsa da Metin'in iç dünyası karışıktır.
Metin, sonrasında evine döner, eşyaları arasında kendisine ait eski fotoğrafı ve
babasının cep telefonunu bulur. Telefonunda kayıtlı olan son aramalar arasında
kendi numarasını görür. Geçmişte ertelediği duygularla baş başa kalır.
Upon receiving the sudden news of his father's death, Metin returns to his
hometown after many years. At the house where the corpse is found, the
prosecutor, doctor, gendarme, and clerk conduct the investigation at the crime
scene. While the investigation continues, Metin departs toward the village where
he spent his childhood. Metin arrives at his father's house, where his childhood
friend Orhan and the villagers are in the courtyard. They go to a lakeside with
Orhan, and Metin expresses the experiences of the history and the anger within
his father. Although Orhan tries to understand him, Metin's inner world is
complex. Later, Metin returns to his home and finds an old photograph of himself
and his father's cell phone among his belongings. While glancing at the phone,
he sees his own number among the recent calls. He becomes alone with the
emotions he had postponed in his history.
While directing the film, my intention was to create a visual and emotional
experience that would captivate and intrigue the audience. I emphasized the
characters' inner worlds, bringing the emotional performances of the actors to
the forefront and establishing a realistic and heartfelt connection with the
viewers. In the opening part of the film, I used pale colors, static shots, and
purely descriptive visuals. In doing so, I provided both a preparation for the
story and allowed the audience to familiarize themselves with the film's setting.
The cinematography and camera work played a crucial role in reflecting the
essence of the story and drawing the audience in. By skillfully depicting the
atmosphere of the house and its surroundings, I involved the viewers in the plot
and kept their curiosity alive throughout. In general, I avoided using extreme
colors and camera angles to prove the authenticity and credibility of the film
to the audience.
