İrem Bozkurt I'm Irem Bozkurt. I was born on March 4, 1998 in Eskişehir/Turkey. After completing my primary and high school years in Bilecik, I won the Press Department of Eskişehir Anadolu University. However, two years later, I transferred to Antalya Akdeniz University Cinema and Television Department and completed my education here. During my university life, I helped my friends in many student projects, in areas such as cinematography and art assistant. I wrote and directed my own short films. These short films were experimental and aimed at improving myself. Then this year I realized my project called Esen. My purpose in studying cinema was to bring my own scripts to life because I love writing and literature more than anything else. Since childhood, I have written stories, essays, stories, poems. My interest in literature pushed me to screenplay. I especially improved myself in the field of dialogue and tried to write situation stories. Detailed explanation and description has always been my favourite. I am a fan of Dostoevsky and Russian Literature. However, after my transition to cinema, I learned how wide a field is narration through images. Cinema is watching the lives of people whose destiny you have written, and I take great pleasure in that. I hope I can find support in my future projects! Esen, on the other hand, is a short film that tells the stance of women in Turkey from a marriage that is about to collapse and through family pressure. With this bad marriage, Esen questions both her own life and the choices she made.
