savunma sanayi ve satranç ekseninde 370’in üzerinde videosu bulunmaktadır.
yönetmen, yoksulluk, gelir eşitsizliği ve toplumsal sıkışmışlık olgusunu;
Ferudun Çiçek was born in İzmit and is a 30-year-old filmmaker and graduate of
Sakarya University, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Combining the system-oriented analytical thinking of engineering with the
deconstruction of social structures in cinema, Çiçek constructs the narrative of
his film Yengeç on a visual logic that examines the systemic and mechanical
roots of poverty.
He integrates the analytical mindset and system-building skills gained through
his engineering education into his cinematic practice, focusing on uncovering
the invisible relationships between the individual, society, and structure.
The director maintains a consistent digital production practice. On his YouTube
channel, operated under the name “Fer Deniz,” he has produced over 370 videos
covering science, technology, defense industry, and chess. This ongoing
production process has significantly contributed to his sense of rhythm,
structural thinking, and audience engagement.
Çiçek began his filmmaking journey with the short film Kelebek, which explores
the transformative and reconstructive impact of education on the individual.
This work represents his first concrete reflection of an interest in the tension
between individual transformation and social structure.
In his second short film Yengeç, submitted to the TRT Humanitarian Film
Festival, he addresses poverty, income inequality, and social stagnation through
a multi-layered and symbolic narrative spanning past, present, and future. In
this regard, his cinema goes beyond mere observation, offering a perspective
that questions the imprint of structural problems on the individual.
The director is also currently developing a feature film project titled
Mahrumiyet Gençliği. With its screenplay completed, the project is designed as
the first part of a three-film narrative universe and examines the socio-economic
positioning of contemporary youth from a deeply reflective perspective. The
project is currently in development and open to both national and international
production collaborations.
Ferudun Çiçek is a filmmaker who builds bridges between technical thinking and
