Egemen Ertürk

Mahir Egemen Ertürk, Bilkent Üniversitesi Tiyatro Bölümü mezunu. Mezun olduktan sonra İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi bünyesinde engellilerle oyunlar sahneledi, ve tiyatro eğitimi verdi.

Egemen Ertürk, a highly accomplished Turkish filmmaker, was born in Ankara in 1976. He graduated from the Theatre Department of Bilkent University with the distinction of “High Honor.” After working as an actor and screenwriter in theatre and television productions, he established his own production company and directed his first feature film, “Çıngıraklı Top” (The Ringing Ball), which received critical acclaim and won the “Best Cinema Film” award at the 44th Houston Film Festival. The film was also a finalist in the competition section of the 21st Ankara International Film Festival and was featured in the “Agora” selection at the 50th Thessaloniki Film Festival. In addition to the recognition received for his work as a director, Ertürk was awarded the “Honorary Award” at the 48th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. He continues to write screenplays and develop projects for both television and cinema, showcasing his talent and dedication to the art of filmmaking.
