Hamlet kostümü giymiş bir çocuk, kuliste yüzündeki morluğa bakarken bir anda kulise maskeli biri girer ve yanına çağırarak onu motive eder. Daha sonrasında çocuğu sahneye gönderir ancak çocuk,
izleyici bölümünde ailesine ayırılan yerin boş olduğunu görür ve yüzü düşer. Meriç, gözleri açık vaziyetteyken vücudu, kuryeyi kapıda beklerken dona kalmıştır. Gördüğü görüntülere anlam vermeye
çalışırken siparişi balkon masasına bırakır. O sırada kız kardeşi içeriye girer. Kız kardeşi, Meriç’e anne babalarının rutin yaşadığı tartışmadan bahseder ve aile evinden getirdiği fotoğrafları
incelerler. O sırada Meriç, yarısı yırtılmış üzerinde sahne üzerinde Hamlet kostümüyle poz vermiş bir çocuk fotoğrafı bulur ve şoka uğrar. Hamlet kostümlü çocuk, odasında ezber çalışmaktadır. O sırada
anne ve babası büyük bir tartışma içindedirler. Annesi odaya bir anda girdiğinde, çocuğu yatakta uyuyor numarası yaparken bulur ve ona sitem eder. Çocuk bu baskıya dayanamaz ve cebinden çıkardığı
fotoğrafı ikiye böler. Meriç, kız kardeşinin yanında tekrardan donmuştur ve her donma sonrası yüzü daha da beyazlaşmaktadır. Kız kardeşinin yoğun ısrarları sonrası psikoloğa gitmeye karar verir.
Psikolog, semptomları inceler ve Meriç’in gölgesinin Meriç’i terk ettiğini anlar. Meriç bu duruma inanmak istemez ancak Psikolog yaşam tünelinden bahseder. Meriç, kendisini karanlık bir tünelin
ortasında bulur. Tünelin bir ucunda kendisinin beyaz yakalı halinin dosyalarla dolu bir masada yığılıp kaldığını, diğer bir ucunda ise çocukluğunun tünele girmeye çalışırken arkasındaki gölgenin onu
omzundan çekiştirdiğini görür. Meriç, artık psikoloğun söylediklerine inanıyordur. Bu görüntülerin, Gölge’nin Meriç’i yanına çağırmak için gözlerinin önüne geldiğini anlar. Meriç, çocukken sahne
aldığı tiyatroya gelir ve izleyici bölümünden dikkat çekmeyecek bir yere oturur. Gözünü kapattığı anda, gölgenin sahnede Hamlet oyunundan bir bölüm canlandırdığını görür ve ona seslenir. Gölge onu
görmesiyle kulise çıkar. Meriç de peşinden gider ancak Gölge kuliste değildir. Meriç artık tamamen yüzünün solduğunu ve iç cebindeki yarısı yırtık fotoğrafın tamamen yandığını görür. O sırada Gölge,
kulise girer ve onu yanına çağırır. Meriç’in çocukluğu ve Meriç Hamlet kostümüyle sahnededir ve selam vermektedirler. O sırada izleyici bölümünde onları izleyen ve alkışlayan sadece iki kişi vardır.
Biri gölgeyken diğeri ise gözleri açık vaziyette tamamen donmuş Meriç’tir.
A child dressed in a Hamlet costume, looking at the bruise on his face in the dressing room, is suddenly approached by someone wearing a mask who motivates him. Afterwards, the child is sent onto the
stage, but he notices that the section reserved for his family in the audience is empty, and his face falls. Meanwhile, Meriç, with eyes wide open, stands frozen as if waiting for a courier at the
door. Trying to make sense of what he sees, he places the delivery on the balcony table. At that moment, his sister enters. She tells Meriç about the routine argument their parents had and they look
at the photos she brought from the family home. While doing so, Meriç finds a torn photo of a child posing on stage in a Hamlet costume, and he is shocked. The child in the Hamlet costume is studying
lines in his room. Meanwhile, his parents are in a heated argument. When his mother abruptly enters the room, she finds the child pretending to be asleep in bed and scolds him. Unable to bear the
pressure, the child takes out the photo from his pocket and tears it in half. Meriç freezes again next to his sister, his face getting paler with each freeze. After his sister's persistent insistence,
he decides to go see a psychologist. The psychologist examines his symptoms and realizes that Meriç's shadow has abandoned him. Meriç doesn't want to believe this, but the psychologist talks about the
tunnel of life. Meriç finds himself in the middle of a dark tunnel. At one end, he sees his adult self collapsed at a desk filled with files, and at the other end, he sees his childhood self trying to
enter the tunnel while his shadow pulls him back. Meriç now believes what the psychologist said. He understands that these visions are his shadow calling him. Meriç goes to the theater where he
performed as a child and sits in an inconspicuous place in the audience. When he closes his eyes, he sees his shadow performing a scene from the play Hamlet on stage and calls out to it. The shadow
exits to the dressing room upon noticing him. Meriç follows, but the shadow is not there. Meriç now completely notices his face has faded, and the torn photo in his inner pocket is completely burnt.
At that moment, the shadow enters the dressing room and calls him over. Meriç's childhood self and Meriç in the Hamlet costume are on stage, taking a bow. In the audience, only two people are
applauding, one being the shadow, and the other is the completely frozen Meriç with eyes wide open.
