In the film, in which the last two men left in the world are seen, it is shown
that the slave- master relationship will not end even when all humanity is on
the verge of extinction. Living in a desolate building, the duo takes place in a
reality where the slave's labor is exploited by the master and everyone accepts
their role. The master uses the last remaining cigarettes in the world as a
trump card and the characters live together in a reward-punishment relationship.
One day, the slave wants to break this cycle and steal the cigarettes, but when
his attempt fails, everything goes back to the way it was.
Director Statement
Reality is shaped by the way we perceive the world. One of the most beautiful
indicators of this is the human instinct to engage in creative acts. Art plays a
huge role in using these creative acts to bring out new realities. The one art
form that enables us to produce perhaps the most complex structures today, can
be considered “cinema”. A film should pursue creating new perceptions as well as
conveying the story it wants to tell. Rather than telling a story, it should
make the story live. For this reason, it is important for the cinema to have an
Avant Garde approach. The images, sound, music and editing should all create
emotions and thoughts in harmony. These feelings and thoughts created in people,
should create an effect that can be conveyed in a way that has never been felt
or thought before. It is the wonder that makes cinema achieve this incredible
