An acrylic painting of the Palestinian flag is created. The Palestinian flag, which consists of red, white, black, and green, is splattered with the colors of the Israeli flag, blue and white, from the top. The colors are thrown as if bombs are being dropped. The colors blend together on the Palestinian flag, creating a muddy effect and different textures. The colors are fluid and in motion. While observing the now unrecognizable Palestinian flag and the textures created, we listen to the poem "I Am You" by the Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer, accompanied by a performance.

In the midst of a world rife with conflict and suffering, my short film seeks to confront the painful reality of the violence inflicted upon Palestinians by Israeli forces. This film is not merely a representation but a profound exploration of the human cost behind the headlines, focusing on the raw and unfiltered truths of those affected. The visual language of the film—marked by intense imagery, haunting soundscapes, and poignant moments—serves to immerse the viewer in the reality faced by countless individuals. I sought to capture not just the physical destruction but also the emotional and psychological scars left behind by years of conflict.

The film aims to transcend political boundaries and offer a more intimate and visceral understanding of the devastation and resilience present in the heart of this ongoing crisis.

The visual language of the film—marked by intense imagery, haunting soundscapes, and poignant moments—serves to immerse the viewer in the reality faced by countless individuals. I sought to capture not just the physical destruction but also the emotional and psychological scars left behind by years of conflict. This film is a call to recognize the humanity in every story and to confront the consequences of our collective indifference. It is an invitation to look beyond the headlines and engage with the profound personal and communal impacts of the violence that has become a daily reality for so many. By sharing this narrative, I hope to foster a deeper awareness and inspire a meaningful conversation about justice, empathy, and the urgent need for change. This work is a testament to the strength and endurance of those who endure unimaginable hardship and a reminder of our shared responsibility to address the injustices that persist in our world.
