Yavuz Gözeller’in Super 8 mm ile sinema tarihine referanslar vererek 2017
İstanbul’unda çektiği görüntüleri, Erdoğan Bidav yine filmin içinde kurgular.
Bidav, 80 darbesine takiben dijitalleşmeyle mesleğini neredeyse yitirme
noktasına gelen, günümüz Türkiye’sinin belki de yaşayan tek analog film
kurgucusudur. Film, kimyasal filmden dijital filme geçişteki bu tarihsel
kırılmayı, salt görüntünün mefhum zamanla film hafızası ve üretimi bağlamında
etkileşimini, seyir deneyimi üzerinden sorgular.
A Tragedy On Unfortunate Encounters And Glancing Away
Within the movie, Erdoğan Bidav montaged Yavuz Gözeller’s scenes that had been
taken with Super 8 mm in Istanbul in 2017 which refer to the history of cinema.
Bidav was almost went out of business due to the digitalization coming along
after the 1980 coup; yet today he is probably the only analog film-editor in
Turkey. The movie scrutinizes the historical rupture of the transition to
digital film from celluloid, the interaction of the pure image with time as a
concept within the context of production and memory of the film over the
experience of watching.
