A Moroccan chef sets out from North Africa and arrives on the Aegean coast,
carrying the scent of spice-filled streets. There, she is welcomed by another
woman—an introverted, patient, vegan chef who lives in harmony with nature and
the kitchen. These two women bring together the knowledge rooted in their
heritage and unite it at the table. The warm soil of Morocco meets the windy
hills of the Aegean, bound together by olive oil.
In this story, olive oil is more than a flavor; it is the earth mother’s tear. A
symbol of compassion gifted to the world by the hands of women. From Ancient
Greece to the present, Athena’s olive branch blossoms again in these women’s
kitchens. Olive oil, once the language of peace used by goddesses to found
cities, now becomes the vocabulary of a new world built by these female chefs.
The table does not only feed—it preserves. The table resists.
This documentary is a trace left by women—on history, on land, and on the future.
