Dicle'nin kadim şehri Hasankeyf... 12 bin yıl öncesinden bugüne değin yaşattığı,
barındırdığı, koruduğu, sakladığı ne varsa kendisini boğacak baraj sularının
insafına bırakıyor.
Hasankeyf is 12 thousands years ancient city hosted lots of civilizations from
Urartu to Rome Empire, from Persians to Ottoman Empire on the river Tıgris in
Turkey. In 1997 Ilısu Dam project approved by the government. After this
approval, a social movement started by the opposites for preventing the dam
construction. Because when the Ilısu Dam construction finishes, Hasankeyf will
be going to under water with all its historical, cultural heritage and residents
of it also will be homeless.
