1980 sonrası anavatanları Afganistan’da çıkan karışıklılar sonrası güvenli bir
hayat hayali ile Türkiye’ye gelip Hatay’ın Ovakent beldesine yerleşen Özbek
asıllı Türkler, burada asrın felaketi olarak nitelenen depreme yakalandılar.
Yakınlarını, evlerini ve iş yerlerini kaybeden bu insanlar için Türkiye ve
Özbekistan’dan gönderilen yardımlar bir nebze olsun teselli oldu.
Deprem ve Ovakent'li Özbekler Belgeseli; 6 Şubat 2023 tarihinde Türkiye’nin
Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesinde meydana gelen ve büyük acılara sebep olan depremde
zarar gören Özbeklerin hayata tutunma mücadelelerine dikkat çekmeyi
amaçlamaktadır. Belgeselde; Türkiye'de yaşayan Özbeklerin, Hatay’ın Ovakent
beldesinde, deprem öncesi ve sonrası kimlik ve kültürlerini korumak için
gösterdikleri çaba yansıtılmaktadır.
Turks of Uzbek origin, who came to Turkey with the dream of a safe life after
the turmoil in their homeland Afghanistan after 1980, and settled in the Ovakent
neighborhood of Hatay, were caught in the earthquake, which was described as the
disaster of the century. The aid sent from Turkey and Uzbekistan to these people
who lost their relatives, homes and workplaces was a bit of comfort. Earthquake
and Ovakentli Uzbeks Documentary; It aims to draw attention to the struggle of
the Uzbeks to hold on to life, who were damaged in the earthquake that occurred
on February 6, 2023 in the Southeast Anatolian Region and caused great pain. In
the documentary; It reflects the efforts of the Uzbeks living in Hatay's Ovakent
District and Turkey to preserve their identity and culture before and after the
earthquake.
