This film is inspired by Stilt Fishing, the legendary fishing concept of Ceylon (Sri Lanka). This ancient tradition carries deep lessons about being content with little, seeing greatness in simplicity,
and understanding life through the lens of our own existence. It reflects humanity’s inner journey and the search for existential meaning in the world.
As a director, sometimes I follow the idea of inherent cinematography that exists naturally within the world. Sometimes, cinema transcends the boundaries of well-designed sets and scripted
performances. For me, this film was a journey to transform an ancient design into a poetic visual expression.
