“Hiçbirimiz ne olduğunu anlayamadı. Ama süreç bazıları için daha zordu.
Diyarbakır’da pandemiyi ilk günden itibaren göğüsleyen sağlıkçılarımız arasında
sembolik bir isim Doç.Dr. Hakan Akelma. Gerek sosyal medyada on binlerce
takipçisine düzenli verdiği mesajlarla gerekse Diyarbakır’da Pandemi
hastanesinin koordinatörü olarak süreci yürüttü. Diğer yandan 3 çocuk babasıydı
ve onunda bir ailesi vardı. Yüzlerce hastayı iyileştirdiği yoğun bakım
yataklarının birinde kendiside Covid tanısıyla 15 gün yattı. Çok kötüleşti, Öldü
dendi, sevenleri yas tuttu. Yaşadığını öğrenince hepimiz daha bir umut ve
dirayetle tutunduk yaşama. Ona ise bu mücadele güç veren küçük oğlu Muhammed
Barin oldu. Muhammed Barin sordu, sürece şahitlik edenler anlattı; “Baba ne
oldu?”
“No one was able to understand what was happening. But the process was harder
for some others. Prof. Dr. Hakan Akelma is a symbolic name among the health care
workers in Diyarbakır, who have been fighting the disease since day one. He
managed the process by either with the messages he posted to tens of thousands
of followers, or as the coordinator of the Pandemic Hospital in Diyarbakır. In
the other hand, he was a father of three and he had a family. He was treated for
Covid for 15 days in one of the hospital beds where he himself treated hundreds
of patients. He got worse, he was said to be dead, his loved ones mourned. When
we learned he was alive, we hold onto dear life with more hope and wisdom. What
gave him power in this struggle was his little son Muhammed Barin. Muhammed
Barin asked: “Dad, what happened?”
