Konu - 1920 yılında Gaziantep 20. Asrın en büyük kuşatmasına sahne olur ve
Antepliler 11 ay süren kuşatma sırasında eşsiz bir savunma ve direniş
gerçekleştirirler. Kuşatma sırasında Anteplilerin göstermiş olduğu kahramanlık
destanı unutulmasın diye savunmaya ve savunma kahramanlarına önem verilir.
Savunma kahramanları fotoğraf film ve resimlere konu olurlar. Belgeselimizin
amacı bu fotoğraf, film ve belgelerin üzerinden savunmanın öneminin anlaşılması
ve gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasıdır. Belgeselimizin kahramanı Gaziantep’te
yaşayan yerel tarih araştırmacısı ve fotoğrafçı Halit Ziya Biçer’dir.
Onun mesleğine olan ilgisi çocukluğunda el feneri ve filmler ile karanlıkta oyun
olarak başlamıştır. O Savunma tarihine savaşın izleri üzerinden gitmiştir.
Gaziler onu savaştıkları yerlere götürmüşlerdir. O da şehrin yaralı camilerini,
evlerini fotoğraflamıştır. Onun savunma belgelerini topladığını gören gaziler
fotoğraflarını ona emanet etmişlerdir. Onun bu emanetçiliği sayesinde Cumhuriyet
tarihimizin ilk şehit nakil filmi günümüze ulaşır. Halit Ziya Biçer bu filmi 30
yıl emanet gibi çeyiz sandığında bekletir. Belgeselimiz sayesinde bu film
günümüz teknolojisi ile tekrar restore edilir. Kurtarılan ve günümüze ulaşan bu
şehit Nakil filmi sayesinde savaşın en çetin geçtiği ve Abidenin yapılarak
Şehitlerin taşındığı Çınarlı Mekânının önemi ve savunma sırasında
Gazianteplilerin gösterdikleri kahramanlık tarihsel bilgi ve belgeye dayanır.
Savunma günlerine onun elindeki fotoğraflar ile gidildi. Kahramanımız seksen
yaşını geçmesine rağmen savunmanın son izlerini fotoğraflamaya ve Gaziantep’in
tarihine, kültürüne ve sanatına hizmet etmeye devam ediyor.
Synopsis - In 1920, Gaziantep witnesses the biggest siege of the century and the
people of Antep carry out a unique defence and resistance during the siege for
eleven months. For the sake of epic valour shown by the people of Antep during
the siege, a great importance is attached to the defence and the heroes of the
defence. The heroes of the defence become the subject of many films, photographs,
and paintings. The aim of our documentary is to make the importance of the
defence clear via these films, photographs, and paintings and transfer it to the
next generations. The hero of our documentary is a local history researcher and
photographer who lives in Gaziantep, Halit Ziya Biçer.
His interest in his job begins as a game with a lantern and films in the dark in
his childhood. He follows the history of the defence on the trails of the war.
The veterans take him to the places where they fought. He takes the photographs
of the wounded mosques and houses of the city. The veterans notice his effort to
collect the documents of the defence and give their photographs to him. Thanks
to this effort, the first martyrs transfer film reaches the present day. Halit
Ziya Biçer keeps this film just like a relic in a wedding chest. This film is
restored with today’s technology courtesy of our documentary. Owing to this
martyrs transfer film which has been saved and reached to the present day, the
significance of the location of Çınarlı where the most violent part of the war
took place, where the martyrs transferred, and where the monument was built and
also the valour of the people of Gaziantep during the siege are based on
historical information and document.
We have been able to reach the days of defence courtesy of the photographs Halit
Ziya Biçer saved. Although our hero is over 80, he still continues to take
photos of the last trails of the defence and serves the history, culture, and art of Gaziantep.
