CHILDREN OF GALLIPOLI
Director/Producer: Anna Cottrell
Associate Producer/DP: Tufan Turanli
For: New Zealand National Television
Children of Gallipoli is about four descendants of 1915 Gallipoli War
veterans: 2 New Zealanders and 2 Turks. The goal of the producer is to
reflect the interaction among the descendants, especially between the
Turks and the New Zealanders. We have already shot the preliminary scenes
of the Turks, their families and the stories of their great grand fathers.
The second stage will continue in March 2002 when the New Zealanders visit Turkey. |

THE SHIPWRECKS OF ANATOLIA
Project in development
I have started this project in 2000 and believe it will take until
2005. The goal of the project is to record more than 200 ancient
shipwrecks discovered in Turkish waters. Majority of these ships are older
than 1000 years and mostly covered by sand. I hope to record, by images
and video, all the shipwrecks discovered and produce both an extensive
visual database. |

THE SEARCH FOR THE NOAH'S ARK
Producer: Tod Mesirow
DP/Cameraman in Turkey: Tufan Turanli
For: History Channel, USA
Noah's Ark, and its whereabouts is probably the planets biggest
controversy. The Search for the Noah's Ark, shot in October of 2000,
simply searched for answers to this puzzle. We traveled from one end of
Turkey to the other, climbed Mount Ararat, visited deserted villages...
Did we find the answers? Turn on the History Channel and decide for yourself! |

ANCIENT CITY FOUND AND LOST
Producer: Tod Mesirow
DP/Cameraman in Turkey: Tufan Turanli
For: History Channel, USA
Zeugma, an ancient Roman city, with spectacular villas and stunning
mosaics was flooded by the rising waters trapped by the recent dam built
nearby. Archeologists and conservators worked frantically around the
clock, racing against time and the rising waters to protect this vast
historical treasure. Ancient City Found and Lost is the story of Zeugma.
Tod and I had great fun doing the project. To best bring the story to the
viewers, we even dove to the murky waters of the lake to record the
submerged remains of the city. It was very dark and muddy; in short, very eerie! |
