Selma is watching outside on her way home in a taxi. Meanwhile, she sees her
husband Adem walking drunk on the road outside and starts to watch him carefully.
As the car continues to move slowly, she sees her husband harassing a young girl,
but she just watches what is happening inside the car. After a while, the
citizens who see Adem attempting to rape the young girl save the girl and start
beating Adem, and Selma stops the car and saves Adem from a lynching. Selma and
Adem cannot be the same after this incident and their relationship begins to
change irrevocably.
