Radyo yayınında kurtarma çalışmalarının sürdüğü duyurulur, bu haberle canlanır ve daha kararlı şekilde sürünerek ilerler. Ancak, tam kurtuluşa yakın hissettiği bir anda radyodan, hükümet
yetkililerinin göçük altında hayatını kaybeden madencilerin borçlarının silineceği ve ailelerine ev verileceği açıklanır. Bu sözler madencinin ruhunda bir sarsıntı yaratır. Dışarıdan kurtarma

A miner is trapped in a narrow tunnel covered in dust and fog after an explosion in a coal mine. As the sounds of ambulances can be heard in the distance, he tries to crawl hopefully towards a dim
beam of light. A radio broadcast announces that rescue efforts are underway, invigorated by the news, he crawls forward with more determination. However, just when he feels close to salvation, it is
announced on the radio that government officials will cancel the debts of the miners who lost their lives under the cave-in and give their families a house. These words send a jolt through the miner's
soul. As the sounds of rescue teams are heard from outside, the miner, losing hope, covers the beam of light with a piece of wood he finds on the ground.
