Bekir, trying to move on with his life after losing his sister, one day sees a
news report on television about another young man disappearing in the same place
where his sister went missing. This news re-triggers the trauma he has been
trying to suppress. At the same time, a mysterious phone forces Bekir to
confront not only his past but also the guilt he carries within him. TELEFON is
a short psychological thriller revolving around the themes of loss, grief, guilt,
and conscience. The film shows that things we silence sometimes return at the
most unexpected moments, and that escaping the past is not as easy as we think.
