Dried red pepper, called "Urfa İsotu", which is the national spice of Urfa city,
is produced by women on the roof of the courtyard houses and on the balconies of
the apartments during the summer and autumn months. Peppers, from Urfa's
breakfast to dinner, sometimes take place on the table as the subject, sometimes
as complements and sometimes as a predicate. The documentary “Urfa Isotu from
Soil to Dining Table” is to explain the process of cultivation of pepper from
soil to dining table and how it is an important part of Urfa culture.
