Muğla'nın Yatağan ilçesinde bulunan Stratonikeia, doğanın sağladığı mermer ve
verimli topraklar üzerinde yükselen, dünyanın yaşayan antik kentlerinden
biridir. Stratonikeia belgeseli, 3.000 yıldır kapılarını hiç kapatmayan ve
insanlık ile doğal çevre arasındaki sarsılmaz bağı koruyan şehrin hikâyesini
anlatıyor. Hayatın hiç durmadığı Stratonikeia, izleyiciye şu soruyu soruyor:
Doğa insanlığı mı barındırıyor, yoksa insanlar doğayı mı ölümsüzleştiriyor?

Stratonikeia, located in the Yatağan district of Muğla, is one of the world's
living ancient cities, rising on the marble and fertile lands provided by nature.
The Stratonikeia documentary tells the story of how the city, for 3,000 years,
never closed its doors, preserving the unwavering bond between humanity and its
natural environment. Stratonikeia, a place where life never ceases, poses the
question to the viewer - Does nature host humanity, or do humans immortalize
nature? Nine civilizations have come and gone, but the story of the land, water,
and marble continues. In short, the documentary conveys how the marble provided
by nature and the established culture have maintained their characteristic of
being a living space despite changes in civilizations, through the testimonies
of the city's living witnesses and experts in the field.
