Barış için Kadın Girişimi’nin çağrısıyla 19-22 Eylül tarihleri arasında
150 kadın Cizre ve Silopi’ye gittik. Cizre’de mahallelerde kadınlarla
sohbet ettik, evlerinde kaldık. Kadınlar orada bize abluka altında
geçen 9 günü, nasıl saldırıya uğradıklarını, hayatta kalmak için
nasıl birlikte mücadele ettiklerini anlattılar. Bu video film Cizre ve
Silopi’de kadınlarla yaptığımız görüşmelerden ve abluka altına alınan
mahallelerde gördüklerimizden oluşturulmuştur.

Upon the call of the Women’s Initiative for Peace, we, as 150 women
from all over the country, went to Cizîre and Silopi between the
19th and 22nd of September. In Cizîre we found the chance to have
conversations with women in the neighbourhoods; they hosted us
in their homes. As we stayed with them, they told us about the 9
days they lived under under siege. They told us how they had been
attacked, and how they had struggled all together for survival. After
Cizîre we made a short visit to Silopi, and met with women there as
well. There, they showed us which buildings the snipers were still
positioned upon.. This video is comprised of the shootings we made
in Cizîre and Silopi.
