İstanbul’un Ayvansaray mahallesi çok eski ve renkli bir yer. Ne yazık ki o da İstanbul’un diğer tarihi semtleri gibi
değişimden nasibini almıştır. 50 yıldır orada yaşayan Neriman hanım bize çocukluğunu, eski komşularını, o zamanlar
kutladıkları bayramları ve gittiği sinemaları anlatır. Çok sevdiği mahallesiyle bir bütün olduğunu hisseden Neriman
hanım gelecek kaygısı içinde yaşıyor.
Ayvansaray is one of the old and colorful neighborhoods of Istanbul. Unfortunately however, just like the many other
historical places, it has been changing. Neriman Hanim, who has been living here for almost 50 years, tells us about her
childhood, her old neighbors, the festivities they celebrated and the movie theatres she went to. She is very attached
to this place and is worried that her neighborhood will never be the same.
