Belgeselimizde, Türklerin gururu, Türkmen atı AHAL TEKE’yi anlattık. Dünya
kültür mirasının önemli bir parçası, 3000 yıl evvel evcilleştirilmiş ilk at
her yıl Nisan ayının son haftasının ‘’at bayramı’’ olarak kutlanması,
olabiliyor. 37’ 46’’, tek bölüm belgeselimizin yönetmenliğini Nuh BAĞCI,
yapımcılığını ise Aslı Çatay Giray yapmıştır.
The documentary is a depiction of Turkmens’ pride and joy, the Turkmen horse
AKHAL-TEKE. We filmed AKHAL-TEKE in its homeland Turkmenistan as an
important part of the world’s cultural heritage and the first breed of horse
domesticated 3000 years ago. The breed takes its name from the AHAL region,
an oasis situated at the skirts of the Kopet Mountains in Turkmenistan, and
the nomad Turkmen TEKE tribe that has been breeding horses for centuries.
Turkmenistan has the picture of the AKHAL-TEKE on its official emblem; the
only “Horse Ministry” in the world is in Turkmenistan, and there is the
Horse Festival celebrated every year during the last week of the month of
April, all of which demonstrate the importance attached to the AKHAL-TEKE in
Turkmenistan. In other words, Turkmens are protecting and preserving their
past, their culture, their ancestry and their horse. The objective in making
this documentary is to raise the recognition of AKHAL-TEKE, this world
cultural heritage, and help it get the value and respect it deserves all
over the world and particularly in Turkic lands. AKHAL-TEKE is a perceptive
horse that is always very much attached to its owner; it can run 200
kilometers a day; it is highly maneuverable, fast, courageous, smart,
emotional, and can be stubborn at times. The 37’ 46’’ documentary is
directed by NUH BAĞCI and produced by Aslı Çatay Giray.
