Alihan Tek

While studying at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s Department of Cinema and Television, he was inspired by Howell Gibbens’ workshops on sound post-production. His background in music naturally led him to explore the world of sound design. In 2019, he worked as the re-recording mixer for the feature films Ne Olur Gitme and Cinnet Ağacı. He has also contributed to numerous short films, handling sound recording, post-production, and composing music for select projects.

Alihan Tek is an artist with a multidisciplinary career in music and cinema. He took his first steps into music in his teenage years by recording and releasing an amateur rap album. At 21, he gained recognition with an indie pop song that reached a dedicated audience.

In 2025, he directed his first short documentary, Bir Güvercin Tutkunu, marking his debut as a filmmaker. Passionate about the interplay between sound and visuals, Alihan continues to explore new ways to merge these elements in storytelling.
